The Fresenius C.A.T.S. (Continuous AutoTransfusion System) is a specialized medical device used in intraoperative and postoperative blood salvage and autotransfusion — meaning it collects a patient’s own shed blood during surgery, processes it, and returns washed, high-quality red cells (PRC) back to the patient.
