FEATURES:

The CareFusion Infant Flow SiPAP is a non-invasive neonatal respiratory support system designed for premature and full-term infants with respiratory distress, commonly used in NICU environments. It delivers CPAP-based ventilation and synchronized pressure support through a nasal interface.

Ventilation Modes

• nCPAP (Nasal Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) – delivers continuous positive airway pressure to keep alveoli open.
• BiPhasic mode – alternates between two CPAP pressure levels to assist breathing and improve lung recruitment.
• BiPhasic Triggered (BiPhasic tr) – patient-triggered pressure support with apnea backup breaths (on Comprehensive models).

Respiratory Technology

• Variable flow technology for stable airway pressure and reduced work of breathing.
• Infant Flow generator system that maintains consistent CPAP even with leaks around the nasal interface.
• Designed specifically for neonates and premature infants requiring gentle respiratory support.

Adjustable Clinical Parameters

• FiO₂: adjustable from 21% to 100%.
• CPAP pressure: typically 0–20 cmH₂O range.
• Breath rate and inspiratory time controls for BiPhasic modes.
• Adjustable I:E ratio, T-High, and rate settings.

  • oxygen concentration

  • spontaneous breathing rate
• Comprehensive alarm system, including:
  • high/low airway pressure
  • high/low FiO₂

• Touch-screen LCD display with pressure-time waveform graphics.
• User-friendly controls for quick adjustment in NICU settings.
