FEATURES:

• Continuous feeding programme: It allows continuous enteral nutrition administration.
• Programmable rate and optional target volume: You can set a feeding rate (ml/h) and optionally a total volume to deliver; when target volume is reached the pump issues an alarm.
• Automated priming: The giving set can be primed automatically via a dedicated “priming” key.
• Clamp / free-flow prevention: The pump has a mechanism where opening the door automatically clamps the tubing to prevent uncontrolled flow.
• Mounting flexibility: The pump can be mounted vertically or horizontally on round or rectangular rails (e.g., IV poles, hospital bed frames, wheelchairs).
• Nurse-call interface: The pump’s holder allows connection to a nurse-call system (so an alarm at the pump can signal nursing staff).
• Alarm system: Multiple alarms for safety – e.g., occlusion, end of feed bag, door open, battery/ mains issues. Alarm volume is adjustable.
• Battery & mains operation: Can run from mains and has battery backup so it can be used in home or mobile settings (some documents reference battery operation).
• Cleaning / maintenance: The door and pump mechanism are designed to be cleaned. The manual specifies cleaning steps.
• Compatibility: It must be used with the “appropriate” giving sets/tubing supplied or recommended by Fresenius Vial/ Fresenius Kabi, to ensure proper flow regulation. Using incompatible tubing may lead to risk.
